Once installed, the Advanced Comment Tracking Fields automatically begin tracking comment activity across all issues. Simply add the desired fields to your issue screens, and they will immediately display relevant comment data. No configuration is required for basic functionality.

The app is particularly valuable when combined with Jira's reporting and automation capabilities, allowing you to create sophisticated workflows and insights based on communication patterns within your organization.

After installation:

1. Access Settings:

   • Go to Jira Settings → Apps → Advanced Comment Tracking Fields Settings

   • For project-specific settings: Project Settings → Apps → Advanced Comment Tracking Fields Settings

2. Configure Custom Fields:

   • The app automatically creates custom fields in your Jira instance

   • Fields will appear in the Custom Fields section of your field configuration

   • Field names and descriptions are displayed in your selected language

3. Add Fields to Screens:

   • Navigate to Jira Settings → Issues → Screens

   • Edit your desired screens to include Flowzira fields

   • Add fields to view, edit, and create screens as needed
